[Alpha Biz= Paul Lee] Hyundai Motor has initiated a voluntary recall following reports of power seat entrapment incidents involving the Palisade in the United States.

South Korea’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) said the automaker has begun over-the-air (OTA) corrective measures from March 20 after identifying a defect in which the vehicle’s power seats failed to properly detect occupants.

The recall affects Palisade and Palisade Hybrid models equipped with rear power seats that were launched in January last year. In South Korea, approximately 58,000 vehicles are subject to the recall.
