BLACKPINK’s Rosé Wins “Song of the Year” at MTV VMAs with Bruno Mars Duet APT.

[Alpha Biz= Paul Lee] New York/Seoul – Rosé of BLACKPINK made history at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), becoming the first K-pop artist to win the prestigious “Song of the Year” award. She received the honor on September 7 (local time) at the UBS Arena in New York for her hit duet APT. with global pop star Bruno Mars.



Wearing a golden dress as she accepted the award, Rosé said: “I can’t believe this. First of all, I am so thankful to Bruno for believing in me and supporting me. This moment feels like recognition for all the hard work, and I’m so happy to accept it.”



During her speech, Rosé also gave a heartfelt shoutout in Korean: “Teddy oppa, I won an award! BLACKPINK members, I won an award! Thank you always, I love you.”



Rosé was nominated in eight categories at this year’s VMAs, including top honors such as “Video of the Year” and “Best Pop,” positioning her as one of the most celebrated artists of the night.



Meanwhile, fellow BLACKPINK member Lisa won “Best K-pop” for the song Born Again, her collaboration with Doja Cat and RAYE. This marks Lisa’s third career win in the category and her second consecutive victory.
