At 2:58 p.m., Citibank Korea issued a notice stating,

“Some banking transactions were interrupted due to a system error, but the issue has now been fully resolved, and all services are operating normally.”

The bank detected the system malfunction shortly after opening for business and worked throughout the day to restore operations.

The spokesperson added,

“We sincerely apologize to our customers for the inconvenience caused and will make every effort to ensure faster and more stable financial services going forward.”
