KB Securities Faces Legal Dispute with Toss Securities Over 'WTS Similarity'

[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] Recently, Toss Securities, which has officially launched its Web Trading System (WTS), has entered into a legal dispute with KB Securities. KB Securities has filed a petition with the Seoul Central District Court for a preliminary injunction to prohibit unfair competition, alleging that Toss Securities' WTS bears significant similarities to its own service.

On the 19th, KB Securities stated, "We have found many similarities between Toss Securities' WTS user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) and our own WTS, 'M-able Wide.' We are currently awaiting the court's decision following the petition."

Toss Securities has yet to release an official response to the allegations.

Earlier, on the 18th, Toss Securities officially launched its web trading system service, 'Toss Securities PC.' This WTS allows users to trade stocks through a web login without the need for mobile app or PC program installations.
