[Alpha Biz= Ellie Kim] BUSAN/SEOUL, June 4 — Upcoming concerts by BTS in Busan are driving a surge in hotel bookings, with foreign visitors flocking to the city.

According to industry data, major hotels and resorts in Busan have seen a sharp rise in overseas reservations around the concert dates of June 12–13. Properties including Signiel Busan and Lotte Hotel Busan reported foreign guest ratios rising by about 40 percentage points year-on-year, while Paradise Hotel Busan recorded occupancy rates exceeding 90%.

Other hotels such as L7 Haeundae and Kent Hotel Gwangalli also saw significant increases in foreign guests, with many reaching near full capacity shortly after ticket schedules were announced.

Industry officials noted that the demand is increasingly driven by individual overseas fans rather than group tours, reflecting a shift toward “stay-and-experience” travel combining concerts with tourism, shopping and accommodation.

Hotels are responding with tailored offerings, including themed rooms, special packages and shuttle services for concertgoers. The influx is expected to provide a meaningful boost to the local economy.
