[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun & Lee Joonhyun] SEOUL, June 1, 2026 — Jahwa Electronics is expected to secure a near-exclusive supplier position for camera actuators used in next-generation smartphones by Apple, prompting plans for a significant expansion of its production capacity.

Industry sources indicate that Jahwa Electronics will supply camera actuators for three new Apple smartphone models scheduled for release in 2027, effectively positioning the company as a sole or primary vendor after outperforming competing suppliers.

While the company declined to confirm the details, citing limited internal visibility, market observers say rival vendors—including Chinese component manufacturers—failed to secure meaningful allocation for the next-generation models.

To meet anticipated demand, Jahwa Electronics is moving ahead with an aggressive capacity expansion. Its current annual production capacity of approximately 30 million units is expected to increase to between 90 million and 120 million units, representing a three- to four-fold expansion.

The scale of the planned investment suggests strong visibility on future orders, likely supported by firm supply commitments from Apple.

Despite the development, analysts note that the company’s valuation has yet to fully reflect the potential upside, partly due to seasonal weakness in the first quarter, which is typically a slow period for Apple-related component suppliers.

Market experts say the upcoming mass production phase could drive significant revenue growth and a sharp improvement in earnings, as the company scales up to meet large-volume orders.
