[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Seoul, South Korea – September 18, 2025 – EcoPro announced today that it has completed its Phase 1 investment of KRW 700 billion in four nickel refineries in Indonesia, securing a stable supply of nickel feedstock and reinforcing its global battery materials value chain.

The company expects the investment to generate approximately KRW 180 billion in annual returns by 2030. Building on the success of the first phase, EcoPro plans to launch a Phase 2 investment, which will include additional nickel refineries as well as the construction of an integrated cathode materials production line.

Through this expansion, EcoPro aims to reduce cathode material costs by 20–30% compared to current levels, achieving what it calls a “disruptive cost innovation” in the battery materials sector.

With direct access to Mixed Hydroxide Precipitate (MHP), a critical nickel intermediate, EcoPro is positioned to secure long-term supply stability while driving cost competitiveness in the rapidly growing global electric vehicle (EV) market.
