[Alpha Biz= Paul Lee] Wemade announced on March 17 that WEMIX, issued by the WEMIX Foundation, has been listed on Philippine cryptocurrency exchange Coins.ph, the largest digital asset platform in the country with over 18 million users.
Coins.ph has obtained official licenses from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), including a virtual asset service provider (VASP) license and an electronic money issuer (EMI) license. The platform positions itself as an “all-in-one financial platform” integrating traditional finance and digital assets, and is a leading player in the local crypto market.
This marks the first time WEMIX has been officially listed on a Philippine exchange. With the listing, users in the Philippines can now trade WEMIX directly against the local currency, the Philippine peso (PHP), significantly improving accessibility and convenience for local users within the WEMIX ecosystem.
Wemade expects strong synergy with the global version of its blockchain game Legend of Ymir, which has maintained strong momentum since its launch in October last year.
“Among the countries where the global version of Legend of Ymir is available, user participation is most active in the Philippines,” a Wemade official said. “This listing is expected to accelerate new user inflows in the country and contribute to the activation of the in-game economy.”
