BTS renews contract with HYBE

[Apha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Big Hit Music, BTS's agency, said on the 20th that it has made a board resolution to sign an exclusive contract with all BTS members.

Big Hit Music is a label that belongs to BTS in HYBE. Big Hit Music will sign a contract with all BTS members sequentially based on this board resolution.

BTS debuted in 2013 at Big Hit Entertainment, the predecessor of HYBE. Since then, BTS has caused a global craze. It has also topped the world's leading charts such as the U.S. Billboard, the U.K. Official Chart, Japan's Oricon, iTunes, Spotify and Apple Music. He has also set records for performing at all three major U.S. music awards, including the Grammy Awards, the American Music Awards and the Billboard Music Awards.

Since last year, it has entered the second act (chapter 2), which combines group activities and personal activities. Albums and songs released through personal activities also dominated global charts, including Billboard. On June 17, the 10th anniversary of his debut, he held the '2023 BTS FESTA' throughout Seoul.

Big Hit Music will sign contracts individually and sequentially considering the military service performance of some members. Members currently serving in the military will have completed their mandatory military service in 2025, when the new exclusive contract period begins.
