Worker Injured in Fall at Construction Site in Songdo, Incheon

[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] A worker was injured after falling at a construction site in Songdo International City in Incheon on March 5.

According to information gathered by Yonhap News, the accident occurred at around 10 a.m. at a construction site operated by a major company in Yeonsu District. The worker reportedly fell from a height of about 3.5 meters while installing scaffolding.

The injured worker remained conscious and was immediately transported to a hospital. Medical staff suspect possible fractures, and additional examinations are currently underway.

Following the accident, all work at the site, including the scaffolding operation involved in the incident, was immediately suspended.

The construction contractor has also conducted a comprehensive review of safety measures and carried out safety training for all workers at the site.

Similar work activities will remain suspended, while other construction processes will resume only after safety measures are fully verified, officials said.
