[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Kia Autoland Gwangju’s Plant 2 experienced a power outage on the morning of September 11, disrupting operations for approximately seven hours. The outage temporarily halted key production lines for the company’s flagship models, the Sportage and Soul.

According to Kia, the power supply to the plant’s painting line in Seo-gu, Gwangju, was cut around 8:00 a.m. due to a circuit breaker issue. Operations were fully restored after 3:00 p.m.

A Kia spokesperson confirmed, “Production lines affected by the outage have now been restored, and operations are back to normal.”
