[Alpha Biz= Paul Lee] LS Cable & System and LS Eco Energy announced on Thursday that they will supply $25 million (approximately 36.3 billion KRW) worth of 35kV aluminum power cables to a U.S. solar energy design, procurement, and construction (EPC) company.

These cables will be used in the power grid construction for solar power plants across the U.S., including in California, New Jersey, and Indiana. Withstanding extreme conditions such as high temperatures, rainfall, and dust, the cables offer excellent durability and reliable high-voltage transmission performance, strengthening the reliability of solar power systems.

LS Cable & System and LS Eco Energy have been proactive in developing high-quality aluminum cables and obtaining UL certification, meeting U.S. safety standards, in response to the continuous growth of the U.S. solar market.

This order enhances the competitiveness of both companies in light of the U.S. government's "de-coupling from China" policy. Recently, the U.S. imposed a 45% tariff on Chinese-made cables and strengthened regulations on indirect exports using Chinese materials.
