[Alpha Biz= Ellie Kim] BTS leader RM has come under scrutiny following allegations that he smoked and discarded cigarette butts in a designated non-smoking area in Tokyo.

According to Japanese weekly magazine Shukan Bunshun on April 22, RM was seen smoking in a busy district in Shibuya while socializing with acquaintances during his stay in Japan for BTS’s recent concerts at Tokyo Dome.

The report claims the area was a non-smoking zone and that there were no designated smoking areas inside the venue RM visited. It further alleged that he continued smoking despite being warned by a security guard and discarded cigarette butts on the ground.

Photos released by the publication reportedly show RM smoking alongside acquaintances, while a staff member nearby was seen cleaning up the area.

BTS recently held two sold-out concerts at Tokyo Dome, drawing approximately 110,000 fans. The group is scheduled to continue its world tour with upcoming performances in Tampa, Florida.
