[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] SPC Samlip has suspended sales and initiated an urgent recall of its “Masterpiece Red Bean Dorayaki” product after detecting Staphylococcus aureus contamination.

The product was manufactured by partner company Honam Shany and distributed by Samlip. The contamination was identified during routine product inspection, prompting immediate action.

The recall applies to products manufactured on April 4 with a use-by date of May 9, 2026, totaling approximately 1,200 units. The company said it is also proactively recalling products produced after that date as a precautionary measure.

Staphylococcus aureus can produce toxins that cause food poisoning, and these toxins are heat-resistant, meaning they may not be fully eliminated through cooking.
