[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] The takeoff was delayed due to a defect in a Korean Air flight from Cheongju Airport to Jeju.

According to Cheongju Airport on the 26th, Korean Air flight KE1725 to Jeju, which was scheduled to take off at 5:35 p.m. on the same day, was moved to another parking lot due to a gas defect.

Gas defects are believed to be hydraulic and were confirmed before 188 passengers were aboard.

Cheongju Airport said, "We understand that Korean Air will deploy an alternative plane at 8:40 pm."

It is scheduled to take off at 8:40 p.m. due to connection problems with Asiana's OZ8235 one-way flight to Jeju, which was scheduled to depart at 5:10 p.m.
