[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Coupang said on the 30th that it will immediately launch legal measures, including criminal charges, in response to labor voices related to the notice of the recovery of the area by Coupang Logistics Service (CLS).

Coupang said, "CLS cannot be involved in the termination of the contract of a courier belonging to an independent courier agency."

"Nevertheless, the delivery union will continue to make false claims and incitement, such as announcing the dismissal of about 20 people and dismissal when I went to my mother's funeral," he said, adding that it will take legal action.

This seems to be an additional response to the so-called 'cleansing' issue, which is an issue between the CLS and the labor community. Recently, the labor community has voiced the issue, and Coupang has shown a sharp response.

CLS says that if the performance rate of a specific area is not met, the entrusted branch will be notified of the recovery of the area, and the delivery man and others call it 'cleansing'.

Labor circles are voicing the intention that cleansing has the nature of a dismissal system at all times and is becoming a mechanism for job insecurity and infinite competition.
