Shinsegae Reports Employee Data Leak From Internal Intranet, No Customer Information Affected

[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Shinsegae Group announced on the 26th that it has detected indications of a data leak involving employees and certain partner company staff through the group’s internal intranet system.

Most of the affected individuals are employees of Shinsegae department stores, E-Mart, and other group affiliates, as well as staff from outsourcing partners of Shinsegae I&C, the group’s IT subsidiary.

Shinsegae I&C confirmed, however, that no customer information from Shinsegae affiliates was compromised.
