A Kakao executive who bought 100 million won game items with a corporate card is accused

[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] The Kakao labor union "Crew Union" (Kakao branch of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions' National Chemical Fiber Food Industry Union) filed a complaint with the police against former vice president of the financial group A on charges of breach of trust and embezzlement on the 19th.

Vice President A was previously punished with a three-month suspension by the company on the 1st of this month after being excluded from work after he was found to have paid game items worth 100 million won with a corporate card.

Vice President A moved from Kakao Games to Kakao early last year with former CEO Namgoong Hoon. He is considered a "financial painless person" who has served as head of Kakao's financial planning office, head of Kakao Commerce's financial planning division, and chief financial officer (CFO) of Kakao Games.
