[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Small defects have been found in Tesla, Kia and Hyundai models and they will take voluntary corrective measures.

According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport on the 21st, defects were found in 54,792 units of 19 models manufactured, imported and sold by six companies, and companies voluntarily decided to recall them.

From this day on, Tesla Korea (U) will collect 51,785 units, including 29,082 model 3, 28,143 model Y 1, 4,432 model X 2 and 51,128 model S 2, which failed to meet safety standards because the letter size of the dashboard indicator is smaller than 3.2mm.

852 units, including Model X 611 and Model S 241, whose screens are not displayed due to rear camera software errors, were also included in the recall list.

Kia said on the 21st that it will correct the EV6 366 unit due to poor heat treatment manufacturing of the inner shaft, the rear-wheel power transmission unit, and the Kia Niro EV 92 unit, which is a defect in the heat treatment of the drive shaft, a front-wheel power transmission unit.

In addition, Hyundai Motor said it will recall 160, 436 and 45 units of IONIQ5, IONIQ6 and GV60, respectively, from the 28th due to poor heat treatment of the inner shaft, while Ford Sales Service Korea said it will recall 350 navigators that lack durability for rear cameras from the 23rd.
