[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Naver Pay announced on the 29th that it has expanded its QR (QR) on-site payment service in Japan to PayPay merchants through an alliance payment network with Alipay Plus.

PayPay is the No. 1 QR payment brand with more than 3 million franchises in Japan.

Naver Pay will be able to make on-site payments through the Alipay Plus payment network from this day at stores with the logo of Alipay Plus partners among PayPay merchants.

Naver Pay users will be able to experience convenient payments without currency exchange at a wider variety of franchises, including convenience stores, shopping malls, duty-free shops and restaurants in Japan, the company stressed.

Naver Pay has been expanding its countries and regions that can make QR payments on-site since last year. Currently, there are a total of 65 foreign countries and regions that can pay Naver Pay on-site.

Naver Pay's on-site payments can be made with Naver Pay money and points without having to exchange separately, and you can receive "point draw" benefits after payment, just like the domestic on-site payment service.
