[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] Air Busan announced on the 18th that its operating profit for the second to fourth quarters of this year decreased by 46.7% year-on-year to 181 billion won. During the same period, however, it recorded a revenue of 2,354 billion won, an increase of 18.7%.

The decline in operating profit for the second to fourth quarters of this year was attributed to external factors such as high exchange rates and fuel prices, as well as one-time costs including labor and maintenance expenses. Despite this, Air Busan achieved its highest-ever first-half performance this year, with an operating profit of 890 billion won and revenue of 5,076 billion won. This represents increases of 8.9% and 23.4% in operating profit and revenue, respectively, compared to the same period last year.
