[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] Georgia Governor Brian Kemp is set to visit South Korea to pursue additional investments from domestic companies.

According to industry sources on the 11th, Governor Kemp is scheduled to visit Korea from the 12th to the 18th, accompanied by his wife, Marty Kemp. This visit marks his first trip to Korea since 2019, following his overseas trip as governor-elect in 2018, during which he visited Kia and SK Innovation's Seosan plant.

Industry experts anticipate that during this visit, Governor Kemp will meet with CEOs and key personnel from major Korean companies. There is a high likelihood that he will explore additional investment opportunities, particularly focusing on companies that have already invested in Georgia. Currently, Georgia is home to investments from Hyundai Motor Group, LG Energy Solution, LG Chem, Hanwha Q Cells, SK Innovation, SKC, and others.
