SK On Signs 1GWh ESS Supply Agreement with Flatiron Energy Development

[Alpha Biz= Paul Lee] Seoul, South Korea – September 4, 2025 – SK On today announced that it has signed a supply agreement with U.S.-based renewable energy company Flatiron Energy Development, headquartered in Colorado, to deliver 1 gigawatt-hour (GWh) of energy storage systems (ESS).



Under the agreement, SK On will provide container-type ESS products equipped with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, starting next year, for Flatiron’s energy storage project in Massachusetts.



This partnership highlights SK On’s expanding presence in the U.S. renewable energy market and its commitment to accelerating the deployment of safe, efficient, and sustainable battery solutions to support the global energy transition.
