[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] On the 3rd, KG Mobility (KGM) reported that they sold a total of 8,130 units in May, including 4,001 units in the domestic market and 4,129 units for export. This represents a 17.5% decrease compared to May of the previous year. Although domestic sales increased slightly compared to the previous month, the decline in export volumes contributed to the overall decrease.

Domestic sales in May increased by 9.2% compared to the previous month but decreased by 16.8% compared to the same period last year.

Export sales, which had been showing an upward trend earlier this year, also experienced a slight decline in May, recording a 18.3% decrease compared to May of the previous year. However, export sales for the period from January to May increased by 26% compared to the same period last year.

To expand global sales volumes, KGM is entering emerging markets in Central and South America such as Paraguay and Honduras. Additionally, they plan to strengthen their presence in the domestic market through the launch of various new models.

In May, KGM introduced three taxi models, including the Torres EVX and Korando Electric Vehicle (EV), as well as the New Torres Bi-Fuel Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG). They also unveiled the Torres EVX van, the first electric sports utility vehicle (SUV) van in Korea.

Following the introduction of electric taxis, KGM plans to release non-taxi models for general consumers as well.
