[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] With "MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2024" starting on the 26th, all heads of SK Telecom, KT, and LG Uplus are expected to attend the exhibition this year. Among them, SK Telecom and KT will set up separate exhibition booths at MWC.
MWC is the world's largest mobile device fair held every February in Barcelona, Spain, and is organized by the Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA). It focuses on the wireless telecommunications industry, drawing keen attention from the industry as it can check the latest mobile-related technologies of global IT companies and meet future technologies.
The main theme of MWC this year is "Future First," which means that related industries, businesses and countries should hurry to work together to maximize the potential of wireless communication.
Last year, a large number of Chinese companies that did not attend the CES were participating in the MWC, and Huawei drew attention by setting up about 2,722 pyeong, five times larger than Samsung Electronics' booth and the largest exhibition hall in MWC history.
