[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Mirae Asset Asset Management announced on the 15th that it has signed a business agreement (MOU) with Bloomberg (Bloomberg L.P.) to expand its global business. This is the first time that Bloomberg has signed a strategic business agreement with a domestic financial company.

Mirae Asset Asset Management and Bloomberg signed a business agreement at Bloomberg Korea's Euljiro headquarters to strengthen global business and form strategic partnerships. Kim Young-hwan, president of Mirae Asset Asset Management, and Dahai Wang, general representative of Bloomberg North Asia, attended the meeting.

With this business agreement, the two companies plan to seek various business collaboration measures at home and abroad. Founded in the United States in 1981, Bloomberg is a financial information service company that provides financial data and analytics, trading platforms, and economic news. Bloomberg plans to support financial information and research for the development of new ETF products based on expertise in financial data and technology.

Mirae Asset Asset Management, which has a global network in 16 regions around the world, will utilize the business agreement with Bloomberg as part of its capacity building as a global operator. As of the end of last year, Mirae Asset Asset Management's global operating assets amounted to 311 trillion won, with about 41 percent, or 128 trillion won, operating overseas.
