HD Korea Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering signed a contract for an offshore plant and oil tanker worth 1.7 trillion won.

[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] HD Korea Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co., the intermediate holding company of HD Hyundai Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co., won more than 1.7 trillion won in orders by signing a contract with a crude oil carrier for a structure above the maritime platform.

HD Korea Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering announced on the 31st that it has signed a contract with Oceania shipping company to build two crude oil carriers and one structure above the maritime platform with a Middle East ordering company, respectively.

 

The contract is worth 230.6 billion won for two crude oil carriers and 1.5337 trillion won for structures on top of the maritime platform. The size of the two construction contracts amounts to 1.7643 trillion won.

The two crude oil carriers won the order will be built at Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries in Yeongam, South Jeolla Province, and will be delivered to the shipper by July 31, 2026.

One of the upper structures of the maritime platform will be manufactured by HD Hyundai Heavy Industries and delivered by April 15, 2028.

HD Korea Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering has so far won a total of 4.49 billion dollars in orders for 36 ships (including one offshore), tentatively achieving 33.3% of its annual target of 13.5 billion dollars.
