[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Woori Bank announced on the 19th that it succeeded in issuing foreign currency ESG bonds in a three-year and five-year Dual-Tranche structure worth US $ 700 million.

The issuance is the first of its kind this year, and Woori Bank has been making meticulous preparations since last year to issue foreign currency bonds at commercial banks in the form of sustainable bonds (ESG bonds).

Woori Bank issued the foreign currency bonds under favorable terms of the U.S. "three-year treasury bond + 75bp," "five-year treasury bond + 85bp" and "the same three-year and five-year coupon interest rate of 4.750%." In addition, the funds raised from the issuance of foreign currency bonds will be used for 'domestic win-win finance' and 'overseas green energy business'.
