[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] The Born Korea, a franchise run by CEO Baek Jong-won, will launch an initial public offering (IPO) this year.

According to related industries on the 25th, Theborn Korea will be listed on the KOSDAQ ahead of its 30th anniversary this year. The co-chairmen were NH Investment & Securities and Korea Investment & Securities.

Previously, Theborn Korea promoted NH Investment & Securities as the organizer in 2018.

The company's sales and operating profit in 2022 were 282.1 billion won and 25.7 billion won, respectively, up 45% and 32% from 194.1 billion won and 19.4 billion won last year.

Currently, Theborn Korea is the largest shareholder with CEO Baek holding a 76.69% stake. The second-largest shareholder is Kang Seok-won, an executive director with 21.09%.

In a related development, Theborn Korea said, "No exact schedule has been decided, and we are continuing to prepare without hurry."
