[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] On the 25th, SK Oceanplant announced that it will invest 1.1153 trillion won to establish a specialized production plant for floating offshore wind substructures.

This investment is aimed at responding to the rapid growth of the global offshore wind market. The designated location for the new plant is in the Yangchon and Yongjeong areas of Donghae-myeon, Goseong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, with the investment set to be completed by December 2026.

SK Oceanplant has been making significant strides in the domestic and international offshore wind substructure markets.
