[Alpha Biz= Reporter Paul Lee] Naver Pay announced on the 17th that it has signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with Billboard and Billboard Korea. The signing ceremony was attended by Naver Pay CEO Park Sang-jin, Billboard CEO Mike Ban and Billboard Korea CEO and publisher Kim Yu-na.

The three companies have agreed to collaborate to create synergy between fintech and entertainment services. Naver Pay plans to push for various cooperative projects that combine entertainment services and simple payment services that Billboard Korea will provide in Korea in the future. It will support Billboard Korea's launch in Korea scheduled for June and provide payment services for music, broadcasting and performances.

With this agreement, the three companies are expected to contribute to the creation of a fair and transparent reservation culture for performances. In the long run, it is expected that K-POP content will spread through Billboard's global platform.
