[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] HJ Heavy Industries Co. said on the 28th that it has won four orders for the Navy's new high-speed boat 5 to 8, which was ordered by the Defense Acquisition Program Administration earlier this month. The contract size is 249.3 billion won.

Since the successful construction of all 16 new high-speed boats (the sword eagle-B deployment-I), HJ Heavy Industries has won a total of eight orders for its follow-up project, the deployment-II project, following last year (4 ships).

HJ Heavy Industries has built about 100 high-speed boats of Chamsuri, the Navy's flagship high-speed boat. It is also in charge of building eight guided missile high-speed ships and 24 new high-speed boats. The total amount of orders for the new high-speed warship alone amounts to about 1.7 trillion won.
