[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) announced on December 22 that it has signed an additional contract with Airbus to supply wing ribs, the primary structural components of aircraft wings, for the A350-900 and A350-1000 models.

The contract is valued at approximately KRW 503.4 billion, representing around 13.9% of KAI’s consolidated revenue of KRW 3.63 trillion in 2024. The supply period is scheduled from February 1, 2032, to September 30, 2034.

A KAI spokesperson noted, “The contract period may be adjusted depending on the global aviation market conditions and Airbus’s delivery schedule for the A350 aircraft.”

This agreement underscores KAI’s ongoing role as a key supplier in the global aerospace supply chain, particularly in the production of major structural components for Airbus’s widebody aircraft.
