Hi Investment & Securities Reports Operating Loss for Q2

[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Minyoung] Hi Investment & Securities reported an operating loss of 100.279 billion won for the second quarter of this year, marking a shift to a deficit compared to the same period last year.

The company's Q2 revenue fell by 11.7% year-on-year to 554.233 billion won, and net loss for the period was 76.514 billion won, also reflecting a transition to a deficit.

Profit across brokerage, investment banking (IB), and project financing (PF) sectors all decreased compared to the previous year. However, the wealth management (WM) sector saw an increase, with revenue rising by 13.8% year-on-year to 3.3 billion won.

The PF exposure totaled 827 billion won (real estate 726 billion won, non-real estate 100 billion won), down by 27.5% from the previous year. The exposure ratio relative to equity capital was 66%, a decrease of 15.5 percentage points.

The average daily trading volume was 368.6 billion won, up by 3.7% from the same period last year.
