SK Group Chairman Choi Tae-won will attend the MWC in Spain

[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] SK Group Chairman Choi Tae-won will visit major European countries such as Germany and Spain this month to start global management.

According to the business community on the 13th, Chairman Choi will accompany the German economic delegation on the 19th as chairman of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The German economic delegation will participate in business events such as signing a business forum and an on-site memorandum of understanding (MOU).

Choi is expected to focus on cooperation between the two countries and companies and finding business opportunities in the automotive and battlefield fields in Germany.

The German economic delegation may be accompanied by the heads of four major conglomerates, including Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong, Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Eui-sun and LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo.

Choi will then move to Barcelona, Spain, to attend the world's top three electronics and IT exhibitions "MWC," which will be held from the 26th to the 29th. It is the second consecutive year of MWC since last year.

Choi is expected to look directly at the situation of generative artificial intelligence (AI) and digital competition at this MWC. It is also expected to discuss related businesses with executives in the information and communication technology (ICT) field, including SK Telecom President Yoo Young-sang.
