[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] LG Energy Solution has won an energy storage unit (ESS) worth 1.4 trillion won from Hanwha Energy.
According to Maeil Business Newspaper on the 5th, LG Energy Solution will supply batteries for ESS to the Atlas ESS Project promoted by Hanwha Energy in Arizona, USA.
The Atlas ESS project is a project by Hanwha Energy to create a stand-alone ESS complex of 4 gigawatt hours (GWh), the world's largest single standard. Hanwha Energy plans to start construction of the complex during the fourth quarter of this year and complete the construction in June 2025. The Atlas ESS project is expected to be the first achievement of the battery alliance between LG Energy Solutions and Hanwha Group.
