[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Ecopro fell to around 500,000 won during the day.

According to the Korea Exchange on the 20th, Ecopro will be traded at 601,000 won, down 4,000 won (0.66%) from the previous trading day. On this day, Ecopro dropped up to 11.69% and touched 574,000 won.

Ecopro's weakness seems to be due to the breakaway of foreign buying. Foreign investors sold a net 87 billion won worth of Ecopro from 13th to 19th. During the same period, individuals bought a net worth of 117.7 billion won.

In addition, the stock market, which had previously risen on expectations of the government's implementation of corporate value-up programs, seems to be falling, affecting secondary battery stocks. Previously, the domestic stock market has been on the rise, mainly in low PBR (net asset ratio) stocks. However, the stock market is on the decline as profit-taking volume is pouring in.

Securities firms forecast that secondary battery stocks, including Ecopro, will continue to decline in the first quarter of this year.
