[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] The candidates for POSCO Group's next chairman have been narrowed down to former LG Energy Solutions Vice Chairman Kwon Young-soo, Korea National Oil Corp. President Kim Dong-sup, POSCO Holdings' Future Research Institute President Kim Ji-yong, former Hyundai Steel Vice Chairman Yoo Yoo-chul, former POSCO President Jang In-hwa and former POSCO Holdings President Jeon Joong-sun.

POSCO Holdings' CEO Candidate Recommendation Committee held its eighth meeting on the 31st and announced a final list that narrowed down the number of candidates for the next chairman to six. This is the first time that the committee has released a list of presidential candidates.

The committee will conduct in-depth interviews with these candidates for two days from the 7th to the 8th of next month. On the afternoon of the 8th, the final candidate will be confirmed and released through the resolution of the committee and the provisional board of directors. The appointment of the presidential candidate will be presented to the general meeting of shareholders on March 21.
