[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] A bullet was found on a Korean Air flight to Milan, Italy, and related agencies launched an investigation.

According to industry sources on the 25th, a bullet was found inside a Korean Air flight KE927 that was about to depart from Incheon International Airport for Milan, Italy, at around 11:20 a.m. on the 24th. The aircraft was leaving Thailand early in the day (local time) and passing through Incheon.

Korean Air found the ammunition during the in-flight cleaning and handed it over to the police. The bullets found were known as hunting 9mm bullets.

Upon receipt of the report, the police searched the aircraft, but there were no additional bullets found. The aircraft was delayed for about an hour and a half during the search, but left for Milan at around 1:40 p.m.

A Korean Air official said, "We will actively cooperate with the police and other related agencies in the future."
