HD Korea Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering won 328.6 billion won for two super-large ammonia carriers

[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] HD Korea Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co., an intermediate holding company of HD Hyundai Motor Co., said on the 4th that it recently signed a contract with a European shipping company to build two super-large ammonia carriers (VLAC). The total order amount is 328.6 billion won.

The VLAC 2 ship, which was ordered this time, will be built at HD Hyundai Samho and delivered to the shipper by September 2028.

HD Korea Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering has won a total of 118 ships (including one marine facility) and $ 12.59 billion so far, achieving 93.2% of its annual order target of $ 13.5 billion.
