[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] NHN PAYCO has reportedly accumulated around 87 billion KRW in uncollected receivables from Happy Money gift certificates as a result of the TMON-WeMakePrice (WeMe) crisis.

On the 10th, industry sources revealed that Happy Money Inc., the operator of Happy Money gift certificates, reported NHN PAYCO's outstanding receivables to be approximately 87 billion KRW in a corporate recovery filing submitted to the Seoul Bankruptcy Court on August 28. This amount represents the largest receivable among Happy Money Inc.'s 523 creditors.

There are also speculations that when accounting for other loss-related receivables, such as TMON Cash, NHN PAYCO’s total uncollected receivables could exceed 100 billion KRW.

An NHN representative told AlphaBiz, "We are currently assessing the exact scale of the uncollected receivables and their financial impact. Due to the volatility, we are cautious about specifying the amount, but we plan to transparently disclose any confirmed details in the future."
