[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] The Financial Supervisory Service has recently launched an on-site inspection of Woori Bank, which was raided by prosecutors over allegations of Daejang-dong.
According to Woori Bank today (5th), the FSS has been conducting on-site inspections at Woori Bank's headquarters since the 3rd.
On-site inspections are one of the Financial Supervisory Service's regular monitoring methods for financial firms.
The Financial Supervisory Service will conduct an on-site inspection of Woori Bank for about a week to find out the facts related to the Daejang-dong scandal.
Currently, we are looking at it in the form of a testifier, but if a problem is found, the possibility of switching to a test is open.
Through an on-site inspection, the FSS is expected to look into whether the loans were actually made following former special prosecutor Park Young-soo's loan request from Woori Bank during the Daejang-dong development project.
FSS Governor Lee Bok-hyun said earlier, "There is a need to check even before law enforcement agencies conclude whether external pressure has distorted large-scale loan decision-making."
