[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] LG Energy Solutions Vice Chairman Kwon Young-soo embarked on a business trip to China on the 12th. It will be the first time for Kwon to go to China since he became CEO in 2021.
Kwon is expected to tour the cylindrical battery production line supplied to Tesla at the Nanjing plant. It is also expected to check the lithium phosphate iron (LFP) battery production line, which will be released for energy storage (ESS).
Samsung SDI President Choi Yoon-ho is also known to have left for China on a business trip. Samsung SDI plans to establish the R&D Institute in China this year.
