[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] SK Hynix, which suffered operating losses of more than 6 trillion won in the first half of this year, has decided to pay 1.2 million won in incentives to all its employees.

According to the industry on the 1st, SK Hynix's management and its full-time labor union have reached a tentative agreement on wage negotiations in 2023 to pay 1.2 million won to all its employees to encourage them to overcome the crisis.

SK Hynix has been paying productivity incentives (PI) in the first and second half of each year, depending on the level of semiannual management plans and production targets. However, this year, it failed to meet the performance-based standard, recording trillions of won in operating losses in the second quarter following the first quarter.

However, this year, it seems to have decided to pay special incentives separately from PI to boost employees' morale. SK Hynix recorded an operating loss of 3.4023 trillion won in the first quarter of this year and 2.8821 trillion won in the second quarter.
