[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Dow Kiwoom Group Chairman Kim Ik-rae and Kiwoom Securities Co. have filed a complaint against Ra Duk-yeon, head of H Investment Advisory, who is considered a key figure in stock price manipulation over the alleged plunge in stock prices from Societe Generale Securities Co.
According to the financial investment industry on the 2nd, Chairman Kim and Kiwoom Securities filed a complaint with the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency against Ra on charges of violating the law on the promotion of information and communication network use and information protection (the timely defamation of false information).
"The sale of the shares in question has been legally carried out in accordance with relevant laws, and we have implemented all related disclosures. There is nothing linked to stock price manipulations, and the defendant Ra Deok-yeon does not provide any grounds," Chairman Kim Ik-rae and Kiwoom Securities said in the complaint.
"Ra Duk-yeon is misleading public opinion as if Chairman Kim Ik-rae had violated the law in order to dilute his responsibility," he added. "Rather, plummeting the price of the above shares with an impure purpose in connection with some kind of force is a groundless slander that seriously defames the head of the group."
