OCI split into OCI Holdings, the holding company, and OCI, the operating company, in May. The holding company is in charge of businesses such as solar power business, energy, real estate development, and bio, such as polysilicon and modules.

The business company focuses on semiconductor materials and basic chemistry. The market capitalization of the two companies before the split was 2.8572 trillion won and recorded 3.24 trillion won on the 17th. It rose 5.8% in a month and a half after its re-listing on May 30. After exceeding 3 trillion won for the first time on the 13th, it has maintained more than 3 trillion won for three consecutive trading days.

OCI, a business company, is focusing on securing 'future food' after human division. OCI will start construction of a polysilicon joint plant for semiconductors in Malaysia with Japanese chemical company Tokuyama. It is also known that it is considering entering the battery material business.
