[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Credit card companies have sequentially suspended payments for Homeplus gift certificates, effectively blocking card transactions for these certificates.

As of Thursday, Woori Card, Hana Card, Lotte Card, BC Card, and NH Nonghyup Card have stopped approving payments for purchasing and recharging Homeplus gift certificates.

Shinhan Card and Samsung Card had already halted such transactions last week, while KB Kookmin Card and Hyundai Card followed suit the day before. With all major credit card companies now refusing Homeplus gift certificate payments, card transactions for these certificates are no longer possible.

The card companies explained that they made this decision to prevent customer losses, as Homeplus gift certificates are no longer accepted by affiliated partners.

Following Homeplus’s application for corporate rehabilitation, several partner companies, including Shilla Duty Free, CJ Foodville, and Everland, have suspended acceptance of Homeplus gift certificates due to concerns over delayed payments.
