[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] With Eugene Group selected as the winning bidder for the news channel YTN, KEPCO KDN, the existing largest shareholder, will hold a board meeting this week to confirm the stake sale.

Eugene Corporation is expected to sign a stake sale contract with KEPCO KDN· Korea Racing Authority as early as next week.

According to the broadcasting industry on the 7th, KEPCO KDN will hold a board meeting as early as the 8th and vote to sell its 21.43% stake in YTN. The Korea Racing Authority, which sells its 9.52% stake with KEPCO KDN, plans to stamp the contract without additional procedures as it has already completed board approval before bidding last month.

Eugene Group was previously selected as the winning bidder by writing 319.9 billion won in the bid for the sale of YTN on the 23rd of last month, beating rival candidates Hansae Yes24 Holdings (234 billion won) and One Korea Media Holdings (126.3 billion won), which is affiliated with the Unification Bridge.
