[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] The government raises a scalpel for the "Random box’," which was highly voiced for reform due to Nexon's 0% chance of winning fraud.

In a briefing at the Seoul Government Complex on the 13th, Jeon Byung-geuk, Vice Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, announced a revision to the Enforcement Decree of the Game Industry Promotion Act, which blocks various random box-related expedients, saying, "Now the government will actively protect gamers."

According to the briefing, all games with random box after law enforcement are required to disclose the probability of obtaining items and are subject to punishment if false probabilities are marked. The government stipulated that it should crack down on stochastic items such as "capsule type" and "synthetic type" by type, and that all anomalous systems such as "complete gacha" and "variable probability items" should be disclosed.

random box refers to an item system in which rewards are obtained according to random and accidental probability in a game. Game users have been strongly dissatisfied with the probability-type item method of some games, which selects the top items from heinous odds.
