Im Tae-jung, CEO of Sangsangin Securities, Resigns Suddenly Due to "Personal Reasons"

[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] Im Tae-jung, CEO of Sangsangin Securities, has resigned.


According to Sangsangin Securities on August 1st, Im Tae-jung stepped down as CEO on July 31st. Hwang Won-kyung, Head of Management Planning, will serve as the acting CEO.

A new CEO will be appointed following a board meeting and an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders. Hwang will lead the company until a new CEO is officially appointed.

A representative from Sangsangin Securities stated that Im's resignation was due to personal reasons, and the timing of the extraordinary general meeting to appoint a new CEO has not yet been determined.

Im Tae-jung, who previously served as a director at Mirae Asset Securities and as Vice President at Sangsangin Securities, was appointed CEO of Sangsangin Securities in September 2022. He was reappointed as the sole CEO in March of the previous year, with his term originally set for two years, leaving about eight months remaining.
